Jaguars finish 4th in Laredo

LAREDO - The UHV women finished in fourth place at the Texas A&M-International Jack Brown Memorial Golf Tournament on Tuesday.

The Jaguars posted a 362 on Day 2 to finish with a two-day total of 701.

Texas A&M-International maintained its lead to capture first place with a 629 (308-321), while Texas A&M-Kingsville moved up one spot to take second with a 655 (325-330). Houston St. Thomas fell one spot to third place with a 656 (313-343).

UHV's Shelbi Vincent finished tied for fifth, shooting a 76-80-156. Reid Whaley who posted an 85-92-177, Viviana Yzquierdo an 85-94-179 and Jo Ellen Canales a 92-96-189.

A&M-International's Rachel Yu won the individual title with a seven-shot margin, posting rounds of 71, 77 for 148.

The Jaguars will return to action Feb. 18-20 when they host the annual Claud Jacobs Collegiate Invitational at The Club at Colony Creek.
