Jaguars win two more at Cowtown Classic

FORT WORTH - UHV improved to 4-1 after a pair of wins in the Cowtown Classic on Saturday at Gateway Park.

In a 4-3 win over Tabor (Kansas), the Jaguars scored two unearned runs in bottom of the ninth on a sacrifice fly by Haley Beam and an RBI single by Madeline Herrera.

Savannah Crittenden earned the win in relief.

Haley Beam and Kelsey Tidrick combined for a three-hit shutout as the Jaguars defeated Texas Wesleyan 4-0 in the second game.

Beam added a two-run triple and Crittenden had an RBI single.
