Cane Cutters sweep Generals

YOUNGSVILLE, La. - The Acadiana Cane Cutters scored eight runs in the first inning and never looked back in handing the Victoria Generals a 12-6 loss and a sweep in the Texas Collegiate League series at Fabacher Field on Sunday.

Jack Kenley, Hunter Hearn and Jordan Wiley each had a hit for the Generals, who dropped to 17-15.

David Worrell picked up the loss for the Generals who prepare for the TCL All-Star Game on Wednesday in Bryan.

Josh Taylor earned the win for the Cane Cutters (15-13), allowing three hits and two earned runs,walking one and striking out four in 41/3 innings of work. Jonathon Artigues went 3-for-5 and Cain Castille was 3-for-5 with two RBIs.
