A 44-year-old Goliad man was reported missing about 7 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

Johnny Lee Martin was declared missing after deputies conducted a welfare check at his home in the 1000 block of Farm-to-Market Road 1351, said Capt. John Pape, of the Goliad County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies who searched Martin's home found no signs of foul play or violence, Pape said.

He said family members informed officials Martin had not been seen since Saturday afternoon.

Martin was last seen at a gathering in Woodsboro, where he told his family he was going home to shower and change clothes, but he never returned, Pape said.

Martin's 2016 black Nissan Titan pickup and his boat were also missing, he said. Martin is known to primarily travel to Rockport, Victoria, Bayside, Goliad and Woodsboro.

Thursday afternoon, Pape said Martin's abandoned truck was located in Harris County.

It is unknown whether the boat had been with the truck; however, Pape said the sheriff's office might get more information once deputies recover the vehicle.
