Ashley Godfrey, a licensed vocational nurse with Health Force Home Health, has earned her wound care associate certification through the American Board of Wound Management.
Kathy Walton recently was named the June Employee of the Month at the University of Houston-Victoria. She is the executive administrative assistant for President Vic Morgan and has worked at UHV since 1991. She received a framed certificate and a $50 gift card.
Jaena Manson has joined the Victoria College/University of Houston-Victoria Library as an instruction and outreach librarian. She provides library instruction for students, creates instructional materials and provides library outreach such as events and social media. She moved to Victoria from Illinois, where she obtained a master's degree in library and information science.

Moten, business success partner from Moten Consulting Group, has recently completed the mandatory training for LegalShield to be certified to provide the new bundled suite of solutions for business owners. She is a business consultant who specializes in helping entrepreneurs and executives protect and grow their businesses.
Carolyn Arkadie is the local Texas Silver Haired Legislature member representing the Golden Crescent District. The 17th TSHL held its orientation the week of July 17, which included the swearing-in ceremony at the state Capitol, installation of officers, member training sessions and an awards banquet.
Martin Gerdes, Ph.D., chair of the Biomedical Sciences department at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine, has received the Hans-Peter Krayenbuehl Memorial Award from the International Academy of Cardiology for his contributions to the field of cardiac function. He is a 1970 graduate of Edna High School.
