Hurricanes, Panthers meet in CRAFL Super Bowl

The first time the Victoria Hurricanes and Wharton Panthers played the outcome was decided by a goal line stand late in the fourth quarter.

The Hurricanes captured a 20-14 win non-conference Crossroads Amateur Football League win when they stopped the Panthers on the 1-yard line with 2 minutes remaining.

The stakes will be much higher when the teams meet again in the league's Super Bowl at 7 p.m. Saturday at Victoria's Memorial Stadium.

The Hurricanes won the league's South division and come into the game with an 11-0 record. The Panthers were the North division champs and have a 9-2 record.

The game will be broadcast on KKHA, 92.5 FM out of Bay City.

General admission tickets will be available for $10 at the gate.
