UHV athletes recognized for academics

Thirty-five UHV student-athletes have been named to the president's and dean's lists this week.
Earning recognition on the president's list from the School of Arts and Sciences were Luke Alexander, Emily Flores, Uriel Garcia and Chase Almendarez. Honored from the School of Business Administration were Collin Schaaf, Kaylee Creagh, Brian Foulger, Reece Hannigan, Jordan Hoefling and Jonathan Pitts, while Haley Beam received recognition from the School of Education, Health Professions and Human Development.
Named to the dean's list from the School of Arts and Sciences were Madeline Herrera, Michelle Revels, Treysi Diaz Deleon, Kelly Cook, Tristan Hanks, Marissa Longoria, Savannah Crittenden, Ben Taylor, Miguel Hernandez, Maya Ballez, Derek Maciejeski, Yahajaira and Chase O'Brien.
Selected to the dean's list from the School of Business Administration were Stanley Smith, Cesar Martinez, Jaiden Lauterbach, Shelbi Vincent, Jordyn Olle, Ross Bludau, Amy Burrows, Blake Henneke, Brody Patience and Marcus Watt.
Recognized on the dean's list from the School of Education, Health Professions and Human Development was Caroline Carvajal.
Soccer led the way with 20 student-athletes from the men's and women's program earning recognition, while baseball and softball each had seven and golf one.
The president's list honors undergraduates who earn a 4.0 grade-point average on all work completed during the spring semester. To qualify for the dean's list, undergraduates must earn at least a 3.5 GPA.
