Thumbs-up for the new AT&T store in Victoria's Retail Village - next to the Sleep Number store. So nice to have quicker wait times as opposed to some other locations.
The manager and the sales person were so professional, pleasant and helpful.
Thumbs-up to Officer Jimmy McDonald on patrol in Castle Hills West. A few days ago, I had made a grocery trip and was in the process of unloading at home. While in the house, I got a knock on my garage door and was surprised to see an officer facing me. He drove by and saw my truck door open and was checking to make sure I was aware of it. I let him know how much I appreciated him checking things out.
So, kudos to the Victoria Police Department and all the well trained, courteous and often unappreciated guy and gals.
Thumbs-up to a happy Father's Day weekend to dads everywhere!
Thumbs-up to all the participants in the Texas Water Safari, and two thumbs-up for everyone who actually finished!
Thumbs-down to the railroad company spending an entire day tearing up a crossing in the 900 to 1000 blocks of West Main Street in Port Lavaca. The only repair actually needed was to fix a small chug hole; otherwise, the crossing was very smooth. Now when I cross it, I feel like I need to go buy a new car, and unfortunately it's a route I must travel several times daily. This is a perfect example of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!" Please rework this botched job.
Grayson, Port Lavaca
Thumbs-down to the limbs pick-up by the city of Victoria. We had to wait three weeks, even though we agreed to pay an additional charge. We also had to call three times. Now we have three dead spots in the strip of our front lawn. It doesn't look very attractive.
Thumbs-down to the acts of violence due to political intolerance and all the divisive rhetoric loosely thrown around by some politicians and profiteers. The freedoms we enjoy as Americans far outweigh anything represented by these pariahs.
