UHV women place 2nd, men 3rd

LONGVIEW - The UHV women's team finished in second place and the men's team finished in third place in Tuesday's final round of the Pinecrest Intercollegiate golf tournament.

The women shot a 372 in the final round and finished with a score of 730. LeTournea University finished in first place with a score of 721.

The men's team shot a 308 in the final round and finished with a score 907. Webster University finished with a score of 899.

Shelbi Vincent shot a 79 for the Jaguars' top women's score and finished with a 158 score, which put her in ninth place overall.

Vivianna Yzquierdo shot a 92 in her final round and finished with a score of 180. Jo Ellen Canales shot a 102 in the final round and finished with 201 for UHV.

James Rollins led the men's team and shot a 76 in the final round to finish with a score of 72-76-75-223, which put him in a three-way tie for 12 place.

Juan Coy shot a 73-73-78-224 to finish in 15th place, Terry Strickland had a 78-80-77-235, and Adrian Saenz had a 89-78-89-256 for the Jaguars.
