Jaguars split to LSU-Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, La. - No. 18 UHV split with No. 22 LSU-Alexandria in a Red River Athletic Conference doubleheader Friday.

Aubri Hockenbury belted two home runs in the opener to lead the Jaguars (14-8, 7-3 ) to a 5-3 win in Game 1.

Haley Beam earned the win for the Jaguars after allowing three runs in four innings.

In the nightcap, Julinn Torres led the Generals (21-6, 4-1) by going 2-for-3 with 4 RBIs, including a three-run walk off home run in the sixth inning.

UHV starting pitcher Michelle Revels allowed four runs and five innings in the loss.

The two teams wrap up the four-game conference series Saturday with a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
