Coming off another stellar week where he tied the UHV all-time career home run mark, senior Andrew Gross has been named the Red River Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week for April 24-30.

Gross tied the all-time UHV record for home runs in a career in his final games as a Jaguar. The 6-foot-2 first baseman belted four home runs last week to drive his total to 38. He is tied with David Baker, who accomplished the feat in four years, while it only took two seasons for Gross.

On Tuesday, Gross blasted two dingers and drove in six runs to lead the Jaguars to a 14-12 win over NCAA Division II opponent, St. Mary's University.
