Andrew Gross was named the Red River Athletic Conference Player of the Week on Monday.

Gross added another honor Tuesday when he was selected as the NAIA Baseball Player of the Week.

The senior from Alvin hit four home runs to tie the school's career home run record of 38.

Gross needed only two seasons to reach the mark David Baker set in four years.

Gross also had five hits, including two home runs, to help the Jaguars end a five-game losing streak against NCAA Division II St. Mary's.

Gross also showed his defensive prowess at first base by not committing an error in 38 chances.

This was Gross' first Player of the Week honor.
