UHV wraps up Round 2 play at Minority Championships

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - The UHV men's golf team scratched nine shots off its opening-round score to post a second-round 306 at the 31st annual PGA Minority Collegiate Golf Championships at the PGA Golf Club on Saturday.
The women remained in eighth place after two rounds were completed Saturday.
Paced by James Rollins' 71 on Saturday, the Jaguars currently have 621 after 36 holes of the 54-hole event.
Rollins managed to slice 10 shots off his opening-round 81 and is in at 152 going into Sunday's final round.
Rollins shares the individual lead with teammate Juan David Coy, who posted a second-round 77 and is also at 152. Terry Strickland and Cristian Esparza each posted 79s on Saturday, while Adrian Saenz is in with an 82.
The Jaguars are the lone team competing in the NAIA Division.
Defending champion Bethune-Cookman University is one round from defending the women's title as it increased its first-round lead over the University of the Incarnate Word to 13 shots. BCU posted a second round 297 for a 36-hole total of 592, while UIW is in at 605 after a second round 304.
The Jaguars posted a 363 after posting 366 in the first round.
Shelbi Vincent, with rounds of 83-79-162, is in 20th place to pace the Jaguars.
The final round gets underway Sunday.
