People who break laws should be identified, brought to justice

Editor, the Advocate:
The Dallas Morning News editorial, concerning the "Sanctuary City" bill, that recently published on the Advocate's Viewpoints page, is a typical left-wing effort to promote discord and to hinder the effectiveness of law enforcement.
The statement that local and state agencies should not enforce federal law is not only wrong, it is ridiculous.
People who break our laws are guilty of crimes and are therefore criminals who should be identified and brought to justice. If one accepts the ridiculous conclusions of this editorial, then federal officials should avoid dealing with criminal acts against local or state laws.
It should be obvious, even to the liberal contingent, that those who break our laws - whether they be local, state or federal - should be identified. Efforts to limit the actions of law enforcement officials should be reasonable, not ridiculous.
