Does UHV print an annual report about its activities, achievements and financial figures?

Each year, the University of Houston-Victoria develops a website to let the community know about its achievements, finances, donors, enrollment and awards.

The 2016-2017 UHV Annual Report is now online at uhvannualreport.com. The website includes videos and photos from the 2016-2017 UHV President's Annual Report & Excellence Awards event as well as financial and enrollment numbers; faculty, staff, alumni and student honors; a comprehensive list of donors; and a special announcement from UHV President Vic Morgan and the Office of University Advancement.

The theme for this year's annual report is "We Are UHV," which emphasizes the connections between UHV, its students, its faculty and staff and the community and how those partnerships will continue to grow in the future.

The website features videos about highlights from fiscal year 2017. The academics video focuses on interviews with alumni and faculty members from UHV's three schools: Arts & Sciences, Business Administration and Education, Health Professions & Human Development. Another video about the university's student life and athletics features interviews with four student-athletes and leaders. After the video interviews, you can view video segments from the annual report event.

The website also has information about three awards presented to people who have made an exceptional impact at UHV and in the community. The Student Leadership Award was given to Ke'Andre Green, a senior from Killeen double majoring in accounting and health care administration. She was one of the founding members of the UHV Jaguar Activities Board, and she is in her second year as the group's president. She also represents UHV at national conferences, including the Association for the Promotion of Campus Activities and the National Association for Campus Activities.

The UHV Community Partnership Award was presented to the Victoria City Council and City Manager Charmelle Garrett for their support in moving the Ben Wilson Street project forward. The university plans to enhance Ben Wilson Street to make it safer for students to cross to get to the new student center and library under construction and eventually other buildings. This project also will help UHV as it continues to grow and become a comprehensive, regional university.

The People Who Make a Difference Award was presented to Will and Linda Armstrong. The Armstrongs have been involved in the Victoria community for decades. He has been one of UHV's strongest supporters since before the university was founded. He also served as mayor of Victoria for nine years from 2004 to 2013.

The 2016-2017 school year was full of exciting developments for UHV. As the university moves forward, we anticipate new successes and expansion, and we are happy to know the community supports us as we work to bring higher education to the region.
