For the second time in three weeks, UHV goalkeeper Palemon Plancarte has been named the Red River Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

Plancarte picks up the award for his play during the week of Sept. 25-Oct. 1.

The junior transfer from Daytona State College has yet to give up a goal in three conference matches and has allowed just two in five games this season.

This past week he picked up two clean sheets in wins over LSU-Shreveport and LSU-Alexandria. He finished with seven saves in the two matches and defended against 10 corner kicks. He also opened conference play with a shutout against Houston St. Thomas a week earlier.

For the season, Plancarte has recorded 16 saves in compiling a 4-1 record in goal.

He has also defended against 59 corner kicks. He ranks second in the RRAC and ninth in the NAIA with his 0.59 goals against average.

Plancarte also picked up the conference defensive honor Sept. 18 for his play during the week of Sept. 11-17.
