Editor, the Advocate:
We want to thank Lou Svetlik and his son, Russell Svetlik, for all the work they have done in our neighborhood. They took it upon themselves to load and haul all of the brush from both sides of the street on South Mesquite Drive to Mr. Svetlik's pasture to be burned.
We know Mr. Svetlik is very busy with his ranch and cattle, his airplane business and being president of the Victoria ISD school board. We have lived here for 16 years and have come to realize this is just the type of person he is. He works tirelessly for all he undertakes.
We have always believed if you want something done, ask someone who is always busy, not the one who is bored to death with nothing to do. It's difficult times like this that really show you the character of a person.
We just wanted to recognize and thank the Svetliks for all they have done and continue to do for the neighborhood.
