Sheriff's investigators arrested three people and seized almost three pounds of illegal drugs, eight firearms, one vehicle and $8,146 in cash in a Victoria drug bust Tuesday.
The Victoria County Sheriff's Office arrested Victoria residents Carlton Brant McNary, 35; Wallace Luther McNary Jr., 43; and Michelle Fuentes, 35, on Tuesday afternoon.
Drugs seized include 962 grams of synthetic marijuana, 112 grams of Xanax, 40 grams of methamphetamine and 20 grams of marijuana.
Deputies arrested Carlton Brant McNary during a traffic stop Tuesday afternoon, according to a search warrant affidavit.
During the stop, McNary attempted to run from deputies but was caught, according to the affidavit.
Authorities then obtained two no-knock search warrants for two Victoria residences - one in the 1700 block of East Walnut Avenue and the another at an apartment in the 1500 block of East Guadalupe Street.
According to court documents, authorities suspected McNary was storing and selling drugs at both locations.
But neither court documents nor authorities clarified how Wallace Luther McNary Jr. and Michelle Fuentes were connected to the investigation.
All three people arrested awaited a judge to set their bonds and remained in the Victoria County Jail on Wednesday night.
Carlton Brant McNary is suspected of evading arrest or detention, engaging in organized criminal activity, unlicensed carrying of a weapon, unlicensed possession of a firearm by a felon, three counts of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and a Class C misdemeanor.
Deputies arrested Wallace Luther McNary Jr. on suspicion of engaging in organized criminal activity and a warrant for a Class C misdemeanor.
They arrested Fuentes on suspicion of engaging in organized criminal activity.
