Refugio maintains No. 1 spot in AP Poll

Refugio remained No. 1 in The Associated Press' Class 2A high school football poll released Monday.

The Bobcats opened the season with a 35-28 win over Goliad.

Hallettsville jumped two spots in the Class 3A poll.

The Brahmas captured a 49-12 season-opening win over Shiner.

Hallettsville moved from No. 4 to No. 2.

The Comanches fell from No. 11 to No. 15 in the Class 2A poll.

Cuero remained at No. 6 in the Class 4A poll after its 41-13 win over Yoakum.

The Bulldogs dropped from No. 6 to No. 11 in the Class 3A poll.
