Sleep easier at night with Steve Tyler as district attorney

Editor, the Advocate:

Let me start by saying I'm voting Steve Tyler for Victoria County district attorney.

I'm 30, a Victoria native. I'm a God, country, family man. I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family because Steve Tyler helps keep our streets crime-free.

We don't have a strong gang presence, and that's because of Steve Tyler. When you're fighting the really bad dogs, you take the chain off your junkyard dog. Our current district attorney is that junkyard dog. He stands for justice and freedom; he leads from the front.

When Hurricane Harvey hit, he was handing out supplies every day to people in need. He uses our tax dollars effectively to fight crime and bring justice to Victoria. His office pays for things for the officers in our community so they can do their jobs more effectively.

The office he serves is designed to do one thing: rain down justice on all those who break the law. I sleep easier at night because our district attorney has the experience and comes from humble beginnings.

He's a military man. He fought and served for the freedoms we all love so much, and now he continues to fight and serve our community so we can enjoy all the freedoms we have.

I encourage everyone to attend the debate hosted by the Victoria Advocate and the Chamber of Commerce at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, in the UHV multipurpose room.

Join me March 6 by voting Steve Tyler for district attorney.

Zach Smith, Victoria
