Four members of the Yoakum football team will have the opportunity to play Division I football.

But only two will be signing letters of intent on national signing day.

Jordan Moore and Silas Robinson took advantage of the NCAA's early signing period in December.

Moore is headed to Texas A&M and Robinson will play at Arkansas.

Yoakum teammates Josh Moore and Isaac Pope will make their commitments official Wednesday.

Josh Moore will sign with the University of Texas, and Pope will sign with Texas State University.

Cuero's Bralen Taylor, who will attend Baylor, also signed in December meaning the day won't be as busy as usual around the area.

Victoria West's Brycen Castillo and Gonzales' Trevion McNeil will sign with Blinn College.

Gonzales' Juan Licea will sign with Northwestern Oklahoma State University, a NCAA Division II school in Alva, and Corey Anzaldua will sign with Southwestern Assemblies of God, a NAIA school in Waxahachie.

Refugio's Jamel LaFond and Nixon-Smiley's Colby Newman have committed to NCAA Division III schools.

LaFond has committed to Hardin-Simmons in Abilene, and Newman has pledged to Mount St. Joseph University in Cincinnati.

Bay City's Zachary Battle and Marcus Fowler will be signing with Texas Institute of Agriculture and Technology, a career school, which will play its games in West Columbia.

Football players won't be the only athletes making their commitments official.

Victoria East's Hudson Oliver will sign to play baseball at Cisco College.

Bay City's Abigail Torres will make her commitment to play softball at UHV official.
