Application for ballot by mail deadline nearing

The last day for the Victoria County Elections Office to receive an application for a ballot by mail is Feb. 23, according to a news release from Vicki Vogel, the elections administrator.
All applications delivered after early voting in person begins may not be submitted in person. They may be submitted by email, fax or by regular mail. If they are submitted by email or fax, the office must receive the original within four business days for the application to be accepted.
An application is available at the elections website at vctx.org/Elections/Elections%20New/ABBM.pdf.
Residents may complete the application online, but they must print it. A resident may email an application to email@example.com or fax it to 361-582-5940, or it may be mailed to Early Voting Clerk, 2805 N. Navarro St., Suite 500, Victoria, TX 77901-3947.
The early voting clerk must receive the application no later than 5 p.m. Feb. 23.
Early voting in person begins Feb. 20 and continues from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays through March 2. All registered voters for Victoria County may vote at the main early voting polling place at the Dr. Pattie Dodson Public Health Center, 2805 N. Navarro St. in Classroom A (Room 108).
Residents will need to have an acceptable form of photo identification to vote.
Additional hours of early voting in person will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 24 and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. March 1 and 2.
