A shooting inside a Victoria Whataburger resulted in at least four gunshot wounds to two men early Sunday.
At 2:30 a.m., Victoria Police Department officers responded to Whataburger, 3603 Houston Highway, said David Brogger, department spokesman. Gunfire was exchanged during an altercation between Rudolfo Estrada, 35, and Lorenzo Banda, 34, and both men had at least two gunshot wounds. Brogger did not know the city of residences for either man.
One was transported by a private vehicle to DeTar Hospital Navarro, and the other was transported to Citizens Medical Center. Brogger said he did not know what condition the men were in.
No arrests have been made regarding the crime, he said.
Brogger also could not release any information regarding who the gun belonged to and how the altercation happened because the case was an ongoing investigation.
"We're interviewing witnesses and people involved,"he said.
