A two-vehicle wreck caused no injuries but closed a Farm-to-Market Road 237 near Meyersville for three hours Wednesday morning.

Janice Anderson, 70, of Yorktown, was eastbound in a 2008 Ford Taurus on FM 237 before U.S. 183 about 8:30 a.m. when she attempted to pass a 2014 Peterbilt tractor-trailer, driven by Jimmie McCollum, 61, of Victoria, said Sgt. Ruben San Miguel, spokesman for the Department of Public Safety.

Anderson saw another vehicle approaching and attempted to return to the correct lane but lost control, San Miguel said. She spun into a ditch, steered to get back on the road and then struck the truck tractor on the left passenger side. McCollum lost control of the truck tractor, causing it to crash into a ditch and roll over onto its driver’s side.

After it crashed, the truck tractor blocked both lanes. The Taurus came to rest in a grassy shoulder.

Farm-to-Market Road 237 was reopened about 10:50 a.m.
