Seven departments responded to a house fire in Francitas on New Year's Eve.
No one was hurt, and the departments continued to extinguish hot spots at the home in the 200 block of County Road 463 on New Year's Day, said Jackson County Sheriff A.J. "Andy" Louderback.
The homeowner, Virginia Chipman, called 911 about 8:20 p.m. Sunday.
The home was fully engulfed in flames, he said.
Officials have not determined a cause, Louderback said.
The departments that responded were the Jackson County Emergency Services District No. 3 and the volunteer fire departments of Francitas, La Ward, Vanderbilt, Lolita, Ganado and the Carancahua Community.
