The Victoria Fire Marshal's Office is investigating a Monday night commercial structure fire that could be suspicious.

The office and Victoria Fire Department responded to the 300 block of East Mockingbird Lane to a small structure fire, said Victoria Fire Marshal Tom Legler. Firefighters contained the blaze in about six minutes, and the fire was limited to one room and burned some furniture, including a file cabinet.

The building is owned by Hertz Car Rental, Legler said, and was unoccupied at the time of the fire. The building was used for a combination of office space and storage. No injuries were reported.

Legler declined to provide details about why the Victoria Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the fire as suspicious in nature.

"With it being an open investigation, I can't go into much detail," he said.
