The Port O'Connor Improvement District and the LaSalle WCID No. 1A issued a boil water notice on Monday.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required them to issue a boil water notice after a 12-inch water line break on Farm-to-Market Road 1289, according to the Port O'Connor Improvement District's website.

The Port O'Connor Improvement District notified customers of the water line break there on Friday. It asked customers then to reduce their water consumption and turn off irrigation systems.

The Port O'Connor Improvement District could not be reached for comment Tuesday evening, so it was unknown whether the boil water notice is still in effect.
