IBC Bank celebrated the grand opening of its new H-E-B in-store branch on April 25.
The branch, which officially opened on April 8, is inside the H-E-B at 1505 East Rio Grande St. It is open late and offers seven-day-a-week service.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony served as the kick-off for the grand opening. The Victoria Chamber of Commerce, IBC Bank - Port Lavaca President and CEO Richard Bothe, branch manager Roland Posada, and other IBC and H-E-B representatives were present for the festivities.
The IBC Free Bee, H-E-Buddy and other guests participated in charity shopping cart races that challenged participants to find a list of grocery items. As a result of all the teams' efforts, groceries valued at $400 were collected to benefit the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent.
IBC donated $250 to the University of Houston-Victoria's LEAD program and $100 to each of the three local organizations including LULAC Ballet Folklorico, Memorial High School Ballet Folklorico and Memorial High School Los Serpientes de Oro Mariachi.
Roland Posada, a Bloomington native, serves as branch manager, overseeing all banking operations. This branch is a full-service, seven-day banking facility offering IBC's full range of deposit and loan products for personal and business customers. The location also features an ATM.
