Sheryl Murphy, Dianne Jernigan and Jennifer Hill, of Woolson Real Estate, recently received the nationally recognized Graduate Realton Institute designation. The Graduate Realtor Institute is a national continuing education program offered by the Texas Association of Realtors. Graduates completed three 30-hour courses of instruction in legal issues, finance, marketing, professional standards and utilizing technology tools to improve their business.

Dianne Jernigan and Greg Beauregard attended the 2011 TAR Legislative Hill visit with the Victoria Association Area Realtors group.

Dr. Deborah Eezzuduemhoi, MD with the Victoria Eye Center, was accepted for active membership to the American Glaucoma Society. Active class members must meet specific application qualifications, including certification by the American Board of Ophthalmology, completion of fellowship training, completion of at least four years of clinical practice and making academic contributions to the profession.

Bank Investment Consultant unveiled its fourth annual top 20 ranking of program managers in its May 2011 issue, in which Melanie Weischwill, of First Victoria National Bank, was placed in at number 20.

Lisette Barton, assistant clinical professor in the University of Houston-Victoria School of Nursing, recently won the 2011 Mary Alice Harris Metcalf Outstanding Doctoral Student Award. Barton will receive $1,000 to put toward her studies in the doctoral Nursing Science Program at Texas Woman's University. Barton was honored at a recent TWU Awards Recognition Ceremony in Houston.
