Kathryn Tart, founding dean of the University of Houston-Victoria School of Nursing, recently was invited to serve on the American Association of Colleges of Nursing's Government Affairs Committee. The association sets standards, provides resources and develops the leadership capacity of member schools in order to advance nursing education, research and practice.

Charles Striedel was awarded K and L Consulting's Employee of the Month for April. Striedel is an assessment consultant for K and L and has worked for the company for eight years. He attended nursing school at Victoria College and has been in the nursing field for 19 years.

Kristi Zaruba is the April Employee of the Month for Regency Post-Acute Healthcare System. Zaruba is the accounts receivable manager and has worked at Regency for 19 years. She attended Victoria College and received her vocational nurse license.
