Canned goods for VCAM were collected by Sue Lynn Hatcher. Betty Mercer presented the program, “Your Amazing Body.” She gave interesting facts about the human body starting with reasons why our bodies’ react by yawning, with goosebumps or by sneezing. She gave the names of many parts that most people don’t even know have names including the area between your eyebrows, the center of your chin, and the crown of your head. And little-known facts like your heart pumps a million gallons of blood over your lifetime, the breathing area of your lungs spread out would cover a tennis court, and a Japanese study showed that our skin glows in the dark.
