Basic Waffle Batter

  • 1½ cup flour
  • 1½ tsp. baking powder
  • 3 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1½ cup milk
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • Pinch salt

In one bowl mix the dry ingredients, and in another bowl mix the wet ingredients. Fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Do not overmix. That’s all there is to it. You might want to add a teaspoon of vanilla for waffles with a sweet topping. For more savory waffles, reduce sugar to one tablespoon and feel free to add fresh herbs.
