A search warrant has yielded seizures of marijuana, other illegal drugs, guns, money and suspected drug-dealing paraphernalia from a Victoria home.
Tuesday, Victoria police officers and Victoria County deputies raided a home in the 3300 block of Port Lavaca Drive, according to a Wednesday Facebook post by Senior Police Officer David Brogger, department spokesman.
As a result of the seizure, authorities arrested Victoria resident Stiven Atehortua Ospina, 32, charging him with two counts of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance more than 400 grams, two counts of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance between 4 and 400 grams, two counts of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance less than 1 gram and possession of marijuana between 4 ounces and 5 pounds.
Inside the home, authorities found 11 suspected marijuana plants; 480.50 grams of suspected promethazine with codeine, a sedative and opiate narcotic; 62.74 grams of edibles containing suspected THC, a psychoactive chemical found in marijuana and 9.46 grams of suspected hashish.
They also seized an AR-10 rifle, .44 Magnum revolver, $3,691 in cash as well as plastic bags, scales and “other items associated with the sale of illegal drugs,” Brogger said.
According to criminal records, Ospina has convictions for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and possession of drug paraphernalia.
As of Thursday, Ospina remained in the Victoria County Jail in lieu of a $130,350 bond.
