Victoria man arrested on suspicion of abandoning, endangering child

A Victoria man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of abandoning and endangering a child, according to a Victoria Police Department news release.

Ricki Starling, 30, of Victoria, was arrested May 30 after police officers responded to the 300 block of Williamsburg Avenue in reference to a black vehicle speeding through a parking lot.

Police located the car, which was still running, with a small child in the front seat. During a search of the vehicle, police found 17.1 ounces of marijuana; 26 Xanax pills; 1,180 ecstasy pills; 18 stamps of LSD; 16.07 grams of cocaine; and two grams of tetrahydrocannabinol, also known as THC.

Starling was also charged with resisting arrest, possession of marijuana and four counts of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance.
