“Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask Him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord. Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise. This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that He was risen from the dead.”

– John 21: 12-14

As I sit by the beside the sea, I relish the lulling sounds of the waves lapping against the shore. I love the beautiful blue sky with white seagulls dancing, darting and sometimes dipping down into the sea to catch a shrimp.

Today, I have caught a few keeper trout, and I am now taking a break to rest my weary arms.

This is truly another “Oceans for Emotions,” as I am flooded with many special and warm memories of being at the sea. I thank You, Lord, for all of these special times that I hold close to my heart.

Sometimes when I am at home and not feeling well, I bring back these special memories to my mind and they warm my heart and help to heal my soul.

Many times, I take a mini-trip in my mind to the ocean. I picture the ocean at sunrise, and I see shimmering pinks and golden colors that God has painted on His canvass. It is like God decorated the water with bling and the sea shines as if He polished the sea.

I see the waves waving at me, inviting me to pull up a lawn chair and sit down beside the sea.

My Lord also loved the sea, as He and his disciples spent many special times by the Sea of Galilee. One favorite time was the beach wood fire that Jesus shared with His followers. They shared smoked fish for their meal.

Dear Lord, One day I am going to build a beach wood fire and cook some fresh fish and think of You and Your disciples at the Sea of Galilee. What a special meal that will be.
