Victoria Building Mugs

The Victoria City Council meets at the Municipal Court building, 107 W. Juan Linn St.

The city of Victoria is seeking comments from the public about a draft grant application as it moves forward with Hurricane Harvey recovery efforts.

The grant application is a step toward using state and federal funding that will provide drainage improvements along the Southwest portion of Victoria, according to a news release from the city. A monthlong public comment period opened June 18.

Members of the community are encouraged to review the draft grant application and provide comments in writing or at public hearing in July, the release said.

The draft application is available online as well as in person at Victoria City Hall, 105 W. Juan Linn St., in the city secretary’s office and the city manager’s office.

Written and emailed comments must be submitted by July 17. The public hearing will be during the July 16 Victoria City Council meeting.
