Victoria City Council will host special meetings Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to discuss the city’s budget for the coming fiscal year.

The meetings are a chance for the council and the public to get a “big-picture” look at the budget among different departments for the fiscal year, which begins Oct. 1, said city spokesman O.C. Garza.

Representatives from various departments, including the police, fire, public works and environmental services departments, will present their budget plans to the council. City Manager Jesús Garza will also go over the general city fund.

O.C. Garza said Wednesday’s meeting could be canceled if all items have been discussed by the end of the workshop Tuesday.
