Victoria College’s Gonzales Center will offer a 12-week Commercial Truck Driving Course beginning July 26.

Classes will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Fridays and from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays  The course will end on Sept. 27.

The cost for the course is $3,780. Scholarships and financial aid are available. Students must be 18 years old or older.

“Victoria College, in partnership with Houston Community College, offers one of the top truck driving training courses in the state, and we’re excited to make it accessible to residents in Gonzales County and our surrounding area,” said Gonzales Center Manager Vince Ortiz. “We are grateful to the Dickson-Allen Foundation for funding a beautiful trailer that will enhance our students’ driving experience.”

The course prepares students for the written and driving Commercial Driver’s License examinations. Graduates complete the course with a Class A CDL.
