Everyday Hero

Paula Cadengo

• Paula Cadengo

• Occupation: Small Business Specialist at VCS Companies

• Hometown: Victoria

• Why honored: This past week I was eating at Chili's with a friend. Two hours later I reached for my phone to make a quick call and realized my phone was missing! I'm sure many of you can relate to how terrible this feels. In a panic I called Chili's to see if anyone had turned it in. No such luck. I decided to call my phone to be sure it wasn't somewhere in my home. So, I dialed my number and a sweet voice answered, "Hello, Peggy!" As it turns out, I was very fortunate that a lovely young lady, Paula Cadengo, had just that moment found my phone at Chili's. I immediately went back to Chili's where Paula greeted me with a big hug. I was so relieved, and I offered her a reward - which she firmly declined. She introduced herself and said she worked at Victoria Communications. I want to make sure VCS owner Jennifer Hartman knows how fortunate she is to have an employee who is so honest and such a wonderful young lady. I am eternally grateful.
