Discover Victoria: Invista Wetlands

The Invista plant stands in the background of the wetlands. All of the water that sustains the wetlands comes from the plant.

Invista will provide free admission to the Victoria Generals baseball game at Riverside Stadium on Monday for anyone who shows up.

The game starts at 7:05 p.m. Before the game, Invista will present a corporate contribution to the Victoria County United Way.

“Invista is a strong partner with the United Way,” Caleb Staudt, president of the Victoria County United Way, said in a news release. “The employees volunteer for frequent community service projects, participate actively in our annual Day of Caring and support many local organizations throughout the year. The employees at the Victoria site contribute their time and talents on these projects as well as donating funds to help neighbors in need.”

Vince Salvador, Invista Victoria site manager, said he hopes the community will attend.

“We are glad to provide the opportunity for people to come out for a nice evening and support our local baseball team,” Salvado said. “Many of our employees have lived in Victoria for many years and love the community and the ‘can-do’ spirit.”
