The newly married Mrs. Dale Earnhardt Jr. is a Victoria gal.

"That does not surprise me at all," said Debbie Bennett Green, a Victoria dance instructor. "I knew one day Amy would be something special."

Green's former dance student, 34-year-old Amy Reimann, was wed to the NASCAR superstar New Year's Eve in a formal ceremony at Childress Vineyards in Lexington, N.C., according to Earnhardt's website.

That ceremony was attended by numerous celebrity NASCAR names, including Kyle Busch, Rick Hendrick, Richard Childress and Danica Patrick.

"It's got to be an exciting life," Green said.

Earnhardt gave his vows during the 30-minute ceremony, wearing a traditional black tuxedo. Reimann wore a white lace gown.

Although Earnhardt wore a wooden wedding band during the wedding, he will regularly wear a silicone ring.

The couple is currently vacationing for their honeymoon.

In 2000, Reimann graduated from Victoria High School. During her high school career, Reimann was a member of the Stingaree cheerleading team and won the Universal Cheerleaders Association national championship.

Reimann also danced as a Victoria Strutter at the Debbie Bennett Green School of Dancing.

"She was very friendly and outgoing and very talented," Green said.
