Check out Wayback Wednesdays from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Presidio La Bahia. The history of Presidio La Bahia is brought to life every Wednesday during June and July. Visit with living historians as they bring the past to life. Dress for the weather as this event takes place out doors. Admission is $5 for adults, $4.50 for seniors, $2 for children 6-11, under 6 are free.
Visit the Goliad County Library from 2-3:45 p.m. on Mondays through July 15 for Monday Matinees. Enjoy free popcorn and juice while you watch a movie. Monday Matinees is for children ages 6-13 years old.
Downtown Goliad Summerfest is 7-10 p.m. June 22 and 1-9 p.m. July 4. On June 22, listen to live music by the Matthew Gritz Band and enjoy food trucks, games and activities. On July 4, live music is provided by Southern Drive Band. There will also be food trucks, a car show, shopping, water slides, games and more.

Cheers to Dad, hosted by Mad Batter Cheesecakes and O’Neil and Sons Brewing Company, will be from 4-10 p.m. June 14 at O’Neil and Sons Brewing Company, 206 S. Commerce St. in Port Lavaca. Limited brisket plates will be available for $10 each. There will also be appetizer cheesecake bites, brownies and desserts by Mad Batter Cheesecakes.

Trinity Shores of Port Lavaca, 201 Trinity Shores Drive, has partnered with Calhoun Home Health Services for Super Bingo from 6-7 p.m. June 20. There will be door prizes, entertainment and refreshments.
Port Lavaca Main Street Theatre presents 24 Hour Theatre. Three plays will be created, produced and performed in 24 hours. Auditions are from 7-9 p.m. June 28. The Star Spangled Bay Bash will be from 3-10 p.m. July 4 in the Bayfront Peninsula Park, 501 E. Main St. The event will feature live music by the Bethany Becker Band at 4:30 p.m. and The Spazmatics at 7 p.m. A fireworks display will take place at sundown. The event is free; bring your lawn chairs. No coolers or outside drinks are allowed.
Mr. Magic will be at the Port O’Connor Branch Library, 506 W. Main St from 10:30-11:30 a.m. June 18. The program is free and open to all ages.
The Pescado Grande Fishing Tournament will be held June 28-29. All tournament events and weigh-ins will be held at the Port O’Connor Community Center Pavilion. Friday night is the calcutta, beer garden and meal; tickets are $8. Saturday the offshore and bay fishing begins at 4:30 a.m. Saturday night prizes will be awarded and there will be a beer garden, silent auction, fish fry and raffle. Meal tickets are $8 or free with donated catch.
Port O’Connor Volunteer Fire Department is having a Barbecue and Silent Auction Fundraiser from 11 a.m.-2 p.m July 6 at 101 S 6th St., in Port O’Connor.
Fireman’s 4 Race — 2019 Event & Fundraiser is from 7 a.m.-11 am. July 6. at the Sanctuary in Port O’Connor. Registration is $25-$35; register online at active.com. This is a four mile run or two mile walk throughout the Sanctuary. Runners will enjoy awards, music, snacks, and beverages. Race begins at 7:30 a.m. The Sanctuary gate will be open during the hours of the event. Keep your bibs after the race to exchange for a barbecue plate at the POC VFD. Pick up packets at the POC VFD the evening before the event from 5-7:30 p.m.
Port O’Connor will have a fireworks display beginning at 9 p.m. July 6 at King Fisher Beach in Port O’Connor. The event is free, bring your lawn chairs.
DeWitt County Drainage District No. 1 will hold public meetings at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. June 14, in the meeting room of the Cuero Public Library, 200 E. Main St., to present its Master Drainage Plan, Rules & Regulations and Drainage Criteria Manual to the community. After a short presentation, district staff and engineers will be available to answer questions about the plan.
