Victoria’s third splash pad will officially open in Ethel Lee Tracy Park on Tuesday, city officials said.
The water feature was added to the park, 701 E. Larkspur St., this year and will stay open for the rest of the summer for kids to escape the summer heat. The splash pad, which was priced at $500,770, includes two shade structures, four picnic tables and solar-powered lighting.
Tuesday’s grand opening will begin at 5 p.m. and include music and giveaways, according to a news release from the city.
City splash pads are open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. until Sept. 1. In September, splash pads will only be open on the weekends, and all splash pads close for the season on Oct. 1. The city’s two existing splash pads are at Lone Tree Creek Park, 4009 E. Airline Road, and the Community Center park, 211 N. Ben Wilson St.
This story was updated July 24, 2018 to correct the splash pads hours for September.
