MILDRED LORAINE STINSON

NORDHEIM - Mildred Loraine Bachle Stinson died peacefully on August 16, 2015. She was born in Orange, Texas, on September 1, 1927, to Hugo and Marie Schlennstedt Bachle. Mildred graduated from high school in Nordheim, Texas, and earned a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the University of Texas. She was married to Burney Weeks Stinson for more than 60 years until Burney's death in 2008. Mildred was a loving and hardworking wife and mother. She loved music and gardening.

Mildred was preceded in death by her beloved husband Burney; her parents, Hugo and Marie Bachle; and her brother Wilfred Bachle and his wife, Janelle Dahse Bachle, of Long Beach, California. She is survived by her dear sister, Nelda Bachle Moffatt, of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by her six children: son Burney Fritz Stinson and wife, Jane Wolfskill Stinson, of Austin, Texas, daughter Cassie B. Stinson, of Austin, Texas; daughter Marie Elise Stinson Garcia and husband Brigido Garcia, of Pearland, Texas; daughter Therese 'Bitty' Loraine Stinson Waugh and husband, Dr. Richard Waugh, of Platteville, Wisconsin; daughter Amelia Lucille Stinson, of Austin, Texas; and son Edward Hugo Stinson of Sammamish, Washington. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends in Nordheim and elsewhere.

Mildred was buried in the Nordheim Cemetery on August 22, 2015, in a private graveside service. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 3, 2015, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Nordheim, Texas, where Mildred was confirmed and also was married. The service will be followed by a luncheon in the parish hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nordheim Historical Museum or St. Paul Lutheran Church in Nordheim, Texas; to Buckner Hospice Care in Austin, Texas; or to a charity of one's choice
