EVELYN KNIPPA BRZOZOWSKI
YOAKUM - Evelyn Knippa Brzozowski, 87, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018, surrounded by her family. She was born September 28, 1930 in Yoakum to the late Joseph and Clara (Simek) Brenek.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America, Altar Society and Pilot Club.
Survivors are her husband, Berney Brzozowski of Yoakum; daughter Susan Hagan (Kim) of Yoakum; grandsons, Reinhard Hagan (Kristin) and Reese Hagan (Kaylee) all of Yoakum; great-grandchildren, Lane Hagan and Avery Hagan; step-daughters, Diana Price (Ron), Brenda Cannon (Jack), Sharon Brzozowski, Kathy Deberry (Tom), Sandy Marsh (Wesley) and Dawn Revoir (Chris); numerous grand and great-grandchildren; brother, Leslie Brenek.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, R.A. Knippa; sister, Marguerite Kubena; brother, Mike Brenek.
Visitation 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Thiele Cooper Funeral Home with Rosary recited at 7 p.m.
Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 5, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Matthew Huehlefeld officiating. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Dr. Randy Kubena, John Brewer, Stanley Barta and step-grandsons.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic School, Hospice of South Texas or Advanced Home Health.
