ELVIN J. NUELLS VICTORIA - Elvin Nuells, the world lost a truly unique person on Saturday, May 18, 2019. He was born in Gonzales, Texas August 6, 1949 to the late Ernest and Lillie B. Smith Nuells. During his earlier years his family moved to Bloomington, TX where he accepted Christ. After several years there he finally planted roots in Victoria, TX. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Curtis Nuells, Sr., Ernest Nuells, Jr. and Charles Nuells, Sr. From humble beginnings from picking cotton in the fields at an early age to eventually starting a job at GCR Tire. To some repairing tires may not seem like a dream job but Elvin took pride in his job and attention to detail to the quality of work that he put out when repairing a tire. Whenever he received a call, whether day or night, he was on his way to help a customer repair his/her tire to get them back on the road. He was not only reliable and dependable, he was loyal to his employer, he was dedicated to the company and the company was good to him. What started as a job turned into a career where he retired with 35+ years of service. Elvin loved all sports, you name it and he watched it, but he was passionate about them Dallas Cowboys. Yes, Elvin was a Die Hard Win or Lose Fan, he would stick it out with the Cowboys. He also loved his baseball and basketball as well. Elvin enjoyed watching western movies all day long especially when a good game wasn't on television. He liked the oldies but goodies, they are still the best. His favorite passion was fishing, he would fish whenever he could find the time, or someone could take him down to the water. Mostly he loved to laugh and spend time with family and friends. Elvin is survived by his children Derrick (Nacole) Nuells of Victoria, TX, Elvin (Kim) Nuells of CA, Tonya Nuells and companion Mike Deshay of Austin, TX and Annie Mae (Walter) Norris of Taylor, TX; brothers Melvin (Ophelia) Nuells of Victoria, TX, Robert Nuells of Victoria, TX, Billy Ray Nuells of Las Vegas, E.J.
