Francisca Medrano

GOLIAD - Francisca Trevino Medrano went home to the Lord after a courageous and faithful journey with her illness on November 19, 2017. She maintained her fierce belief in God, constantly praying and always with a strong spiritual sense. The middle child from the marriage of her father, Juan Trevino and mother, Martiana Gutierrez Trevino, 'Mary', as she became affectionately known, was born October 4, 1935 and married Rafael Cantu Medrano in December of 1969. Although they never had children between them, she graciously 'adopted' and loved her step-children; Pat, Rene, Rafael 'Guero', Raul, Sonia and the late Sylvia Medrano DeWit without condition; always making flour tortillas, when asked. A faithful and devoted wife, she always placed others first, before her needs.

She leaves behind her sole surviving sister, Ofelia 'Ofie' Trevino Lopez of Goliad; niece, Amanda Garcia Perez of Punca City, Oklahoma; 3 grand nieces and nephews; step children; Pat Medrano of Goliad, Rene Medrano of Las Vegas, Nevada, Rafael 'Guero' Medrano of Houston, Texas, Raul 'Pucha' Medrano of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Sonia A. Medrano of Henderson, Nevada; cadre of step grandchildren, Scheana Marie Jancan, Mario White, Chelsi White-Grady, Reneece DeWit, Rikki Leigh DeWit, R. Alejandro Medrano, Ricardo A. Medrano, Sofia Araceli Medrano, Kyle Medrano, Ryan Medrano Hamamura, Dwayne Hull, Alexa Medrano Solarez, step great grandchildren; Anaya, ZoZo, Maxwell, Kamron, Jaden, Ivory, August the late 'Baby Lincoln', and Grayson.

The book will be available to sign starting at 10:00 am on Monday, November 27th with a rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Grace Funeral Home Chapel in Goliad, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 28th at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Goliad with The Very Reverend Charles Otsiwah presiding with burial to follow at Noble San Jose Cemetery in Fannin, Texas.

Peace be with you all.
