Kimberly Fleener, principal of Cuero Junior High School, was selected by the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals (TASSP) as the 2019 Middle School Principal of the Year for Region 3.

She was recognized during Josten’s Night of the Stars Awards Dinner on June 11, at the Hilton Austin Downtown Hotel. There she was presented with a plaque and recognized in a commemorative book “Texas Principals, Texas Heroes.”

Fleener is an honors graduate of Texas State University, where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science with minors in both mathematics and economics, and a graduate of the University of Houston-Victoria with a master of education degree in administration and supervision.

She is finishing her 10th year as an administrator with Cuero ISD.
