Editor, the Advocate:

Rena Scherer has proven her commitment to the citizens of Victoria County for more than 30 years. She earned the position of tax assessor-collector through hard work and dedication, working in the office as a clerk, as well as taking required courses to obtain certification as a registered tax assessor-collector.

She takes the responsibility of this office very seriously. The laws and regulations that govern this office are learned through many hours of education and experience. Rena has both. She strives to make customer service a No. 1 priority. She is always looking for more advanced and upgraded technology to make it easier, faster and more convenient for the taxpayers to conduct their business.

She sees to it that employees are given the training needed to serve the customer efficiently and effectively. Rena consolidated collections in the county, making it possible to pay all your property taxes in one office, saving the taxpayers time and money.

Rena was born and raised in Victoria. She wants and deserves to continue proving her dedication to the citizens of Victoria County. Please re-elect Rena Scherer for county tax assessor-collector and keep experience working for you.
