Letters to the editor

Editor, the Advocate:

Cuero recently welcomed Alex McFarland to speak at a number of events in late May, including the Cuero ISD Education Foundation Academic Awards Banquet. The Cuero ISD Education Foundation did a fantastic job of honoring our local students for a job well done, and Alex delivered an inspirational message of hope. We also want to recognize our own Dr. Daniel Dugi and Dr. Raymond Reese for securing Alex to speak to our area youth, as well as to the community, area seniors, local churches and the medical community.

Alex has served as a pastor, seminary president, evangelist, college professor, mission strategist, broadcaster and more. This journey has taken Alex to speak in 2,000 different churches around the world, to conferences such as The Billy Graham School of Evangelism, Focus On The Family’s Big Dig and many more. We were thrilled to add Cuero to his list!

We appreciate the support of our physicians, as well as TrustTexas Bank in Cuero, for their sponsorship and support of Alex’s presentations. Thanks to area media for your coverage of his visit, and we hope all were inspired by his words.

Lynn Falcone, CEO, Cuero Health
